Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum

Everman ISD adopted Frog Street curriculum, an integrated prekindergarten curriculum. Key early learning concepts and skills aligned with the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines are integrated throughout instruction.  The class family enjoys learning and building community through circle times, read-alouds, shared/interactive writing experiences in the whole group.

During small groups, teachers provide language-building opportunities and develop key literacy and math skills with students.

Centers are an important time when students apply knowledge about thematic concepts, practice social and emotional skills, and use literacy and math skills as they play.

To support the development of the whole child, Frog Street incorporates Conscious Discipline, a program that helps teachers create a safe and caring learning environment. Students learn how to solve conflicts, identify and manage emotions, and learn their role in maintaining a safe and caring school family environment.

STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) challenges are integrated throughout each theme to promote problem-solving and beginning coding skills.
