Athletic Director - James Polk
Head Football Coach - Michael Boone
Coordinator

Coach Boone is in his 18th year as a teacher and coach at Everman High School. He and his wife raised two sons and a nephew who are all Everman graduates and played on the Everman football and soccer teams. While at Everman they all were enrolled in dual credit and AP classes.
Coach Boone was born and raised in the Poly neighborhood of Fort Worth. He attended high school at Paul Laurence Dunbar for 3.5 years where he played football and ran track. He graduated from Polytechnic High School. He then attended college at Texas A&M University Commerce where he became a member of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He played football at Texas A&M-Commerce and began his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant coach there. After graduating with a B.S. in mathematics he returned to Polytechnic as a football coach, soccer coach, and math teacher. After three years he accepted a position at Everman High School which brought me here today.
His philosophy in teaching and coaching are the same; expect excellence. By teaching student-athletes to be
confident, persistent problem solvers, we can impact their ability to learn and succeed in any area they choose in the future. Not only can we equip them with the skills to thrive in a complex and rigorous environment but, by placing an emphasis on building self-confidence, and self-worth, we can also empower student-athletes to attempt these difficult tasks. The path to excellence demands extraordinary effort. It is the responsibility of a coach and a program to teach its athletes how to put forth that effort. With the proper amount of expertise, passion, and expectation, teachers and coaches become launching pads for student-athletes.
“I am blessed to have been chosen by God to do this job and extremely confident that He has, and will continue to, surround me with the people and resources to meet the needs of Everman student-athletes with abundance.”

After receiving a degree in Mathematics from Abilene Christian University, Ms. Sigler has served Everman ISD for twenty-one years in various roles as a teacher, coach, and district math coordinator, and after only her first year she fell in love with the school and community. For the past five years, she has been serving in what she calls her dream job, as an academic advisor at Everman High School. This job combines all her passions: sports, educating students, community outreach, and providing students with an opportunity to graduate and pursue any route they choose in life.
As an academic advisor, she works with all athletes from 7th graders to seniors in high school, regardless of their desire or ability to play sports at the next level. She strives for success for everyone and knows that looks different for every student. Being a student-athlete is a unique experience, and she assists students with NCAA/NAIA eligibility registration, test prep, course selection, GPA requirements, and core class requirements that set student-athletes up for future success. She also works with all seniors on post-high school plans. Each role she served in this district has given her the experience needed to work collaboratively with the athletic director, campus principals, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and the community.
“My vision for my career is to create equity for college access and success for all students. As an Academic Advisor, I will work to give students the opportunity to transform their lives through higher education.”
